As part of Christie's holistic service to its clients, they offer their Heritage and Tax Services which is the provision of advice on all fiscal issues relating to chattels including pre-sale & post-sale tax advice and justification of valuations. Externally the Department is also responsible for negotiated sales to Museums and Galleries in the UK; advising on conditional exemption claims and negotiating chattels rentals.
The Team now requires a Personal Tax Specialist with a minimum of two years' practical experience working in the private client arena as a qualified Solicitor, Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser. You will need good knowledge of inheritance tax and capital gains as they relate to chattels.
